[Naked Mole Rats in the World of Darkness] kept the opening night audience laughing uproariously. [Lisa] Vitrano glides effortlessly from tough cop to quibbling wife to office nerd. Her turn as a sexily indolent pudendum is hilarious, and if it can be said about such a role, subtly done. It is the perfect complement to [David] Avery's wacky rendition of - what else? - a very needy penis. a very pleasurable evening of entertainment.
Buffalo News
Each vignette takes a playful look at an aspect of heterosexual relationships. I found the material to be genuinely enjoyable and reminiscent of the work of Elaine May.
Artvoice (Buffalo)
Sometimes poignant, often hilarious.
The Citizen (Auburn, NY)
Very funny, thanks to the writing by Mike Folie, but it has a serious subtext: why do men and women sometimes seem to be of different species?
The Independent (Hudson, NY)
Smartly written.
The Berkshire Eagle
An honest and poignant piece.
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
An intelligent, well-written script enriched by a gifted perception of human nature. Folie perceptively places humor, love and depth side-by-side.
